Doosan Power Systems wins Prestigious Environmental Award for OxyCoal Technology 3rd February 2010, Crawley: Doosan Power Systems has been awarded the Rushlight Energy Environmental Award for its OxyCoal achievements. The presentation ceremony was held on Thursday 28 January 2010 in London and was attended by Tony Grayling, Head of Climate Change and Sustainable Development at the UK’s Environmental Agency. The award highlighted Doosan Power Systems’ outstanding performance in clean technology development during the past year, particularly noting the opening of the world’s largest OxyCoal™ Clean Combustion Test Facility at Renfrew in July 2009. The Rushlight Awards are the only awards for technology developers across the clean technology sector and recognise outstanding achievement in the field of renewable energy, clean fuels, power generation, water, waste and pollution management in the UK and Ireland.
